Dr. Sachs graduated from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Oregon State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include surgery, preventative medicine, geriatric care, and the human-animal bond. She has also used her skills as a veterinarian on animal welfare missions, including animal rescue, spay and neuter clinics in Guatemala, veterinary relief after Hurricane Harvey in Texas, and recently treating animals affected by the Paradise fires in California.
Dr. Sachs is a Marin County Native who spent her childhood volunteering with animals at the San Francisco Zoo, Wildcare, and local veterinary hospitals. In her free time, she is usually in the hills of Marin with her dog Milo, gardening, or at home with her one-eyed Siamese cat Loki and her island cat Lucille.
