Libby, Veterinary Technician Assistant

Libby began her career working with animals as a volunteer at a captive wildlife park in Arizona, where she was born and raised. Over the course of three years, she worked closely with big cats, gaining hands-on experience that led to her first full-time role as an entry-level keeper at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center near Yellowstone National Park in Montana. There, she cared for grizzly bears, gray wolves, and birds of prey.

During her 13 years with the organization, Libby advanced to the roles of Lead Keeper and ultimately Animal Curator. Her work was featured on the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and National Geographic. She later spent time on the Oregon Coast advocating for marine mammals before relocating to California, where she worked for 11 years as a Neonatal Specialist with Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Libby joined Ross Valley Veterinary Hospital in early 2026 to further expand her experience in veterinary medicine. Outside of work, she is an avid international traveler who enjoys exploring new countries and observing wildlife in their natural habitats.
